Description
The Bureau of Reclamation - Great Plains Region - Montana Area Office (MTAO) has a requirement for concrete to be delivered to DROP 4 of the St. Mary Canal System near Babb, Montana. Requirement: Contract Line Item Number (CLIN) 0001 - 130 Yards of concrete Specifications: (a) The Contractor shall provide and deliver a concrete mix that meets following specifications: (1) Course Aggregate - not to exceed -inch in diameter; (2) No. of 94 lb sacks per cubic yard - 6.5 sacks per cubic yard; (3) Slump - 2.5 inch slump; (4) Air entrainment - 5 to 7 percent; (5) Compressive Strength - 3000 psi in 7 days and 4000 psi in 28 days; and (6) The discharge of the concrete at the job site shall not exceed a maximum of 1hour after introducing the mixing water and the cement together. (b) All construction joints shall be saw-cut to control the cracking. The maximum saw-cut depth shall not exceed 1.5 inches. If you go deeper you may cut into your reinforcement bars. (c) If you need to increase the slump for a special job, the concrete supplier can add plasticizers to the mix to increase the workability and not affect the strength. Delivery: F.O.B Destination The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 327310 with a small business size standard of 750 employees. This requirement is UNRESTRICTED and all qualified quoters may submit quotes. All responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the agency. Prospective quoters are responsible for downloading their own copy of the solicitation from this website and for frequently monitoring that site for any amendments. The Government is not responsible for any inability of the quoter to access the posted documents. No telephone or fax requests will be accepted, and no hard-copy solicitation/amendment will be mailed or faxed. The solicitation shall be posted on or about 02 Oct 2012 with a response date of on or about 09 Oct 2012. The buyer will NOT provide a hard copy of the Solicitation package. Quoter must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database before an award can be made to them. If the quoter is not registered in the SAM, it may do so through the SAM website at www.sam.gov.
