- The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, NJ intends to solicit the authorized distributors of the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) (Avery Weigh-Tronix (DBA Dillon) of Fairmont, MN): Itin Scale Company of Brooklyn, NY, The Scale People, Inc. of Newport News, VA, and Johnson Scale Co. of Pine Brook, NJ on a limited competition basis for, forty U50 Dillon U Force Gauges, part number 30354-0025, for the NAVAIR METCAL Calibration Standards Program. The U50 Dillon U Force Gauge is required by the NAVAIR METCAL program as calibration equipment required to calibrate the Sidewinder Missile rocket motor safe-arm Spring Pin Inspection Gage. The Government intends to procure the above items under the authority of 10 USC 2304 (c) (1), FAR 6.302-1. This is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. However, responsible sources are encouraged to submit a response to this synopsis in writing that contains information that would allow the government to determine whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement.
