Description
This is a SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE only. It is being presented to determine if there are two (2) or more capable Small Businesses that can perform the requirements for an anticipated contract. Responses to this notice will be used for information and planning purposes. No proposals are being requested or accepted with this notice. All capable Small Businesses should respond with a capability statement along with projected pricing, to assist the Government in determining in accordance with (IAW) Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 19.502-2(b) if a set aside is required. The Lebanon VA Medical Center, Lebanon, Pennsylvania is conducting a market survey to determine the availability of qualified, technically capable small business, veteran-owned small business, service-disabled veteran owned small business (must be verified in VETBiz), HUBZone small business or 8(a) firms capable of providing provide Laundry Services - i.e. all labor, equipment, supervision, management, supplies, bulk delivery carts, transportation, and facilities (except as identified elsewhere in this solicitation) necessary to perform contractor owned/contractor operated bulk laundry/linen services and tasks required under this contract for the Department of Veterans Affairs. This service includes linen service, laundry of employee uniforms, patient personal clothing items, mops and OR/Surgery items. The anticipated contract will include a base year plus four (4) option years with the following estimated quantity: *The unit of measure for all quantity shown is pounds (lbs) Base Year: a.General Linen495,000 lbs b.OR/Surgery40,000 lbs c.Mops (wet/dust)55,000 lbs d.Uniforms8,200 lbs e.Patient Clothing 43,800 lbs Option Year 1: f.General Linen495,000 lbs g.OR/Surgery 40,000 lbs h.Mops (wet/dust) 55,000 lbs i.Uniforms 8,200 lbs j.Patient Clothing 43,800 lbs Option Year 2: a.General Linen495,000 lbs b.OR/Surgery40,000 lbs c.Mops (wet/dust)55,000 lbs d.Uniforms8,200 lbs e.Patient Clothing 43,800 lbs Option Year 3: a.General Linen495,000 lbs b.OR/Surgery40,000 lbs c.Mops (wet/dust)55,000 lbs d.Uniforms8,200 lbs e.Patient Clothing 43,800 lbs Option Year 4: a. Services shall include pick-up and delivery of items by contractor personnel. These services are in support of patient care programs. Services are required Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays except as awarded. Lebanon VA Medical Center is required to provide 24-7 support operations essential to patient care. Contractor services turn-around shall be performed accordingly to support the medical center operations. The applicable North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code is 812320 and the small business size standard is $5.0 million dollars. Responses to this notice should include the following: Offeror's company name, DUNS, address, point of contact, title, phone number and email address. Offeror's capability to meet this requirement and any pertinent information which demonstrates the firm's ability to meet the above requirements. Offeror's performance shall be accordance with the requirements and standards of the Pennsylvania Department of Health and Human Service, Bureau of Emergency Medical Services. Offeror must provide the above requested information. After review of the responses to this sources sought notice, a solicitation announcement may be published on the FBO website in the near future. Responses to this sources sought announcement are not considered adequate responses to the solicitation announcement. All interested offerors will have to respond to the solicitation announcement in addition to responding to this sources sought notice. All interested parties are reminded to be registered with Central Contractor Registration (CCR) at http://www.ccr.gov in order to be eligible for award of Government contracts.
