- PRESOLICITATION NOTICE CLASSIFICATION CODE: A SUBJECT: AERONEB LAB MICROPUMP NEBULIZER (BRAND NAME OR EQUAL) SOLICITATION NUMBER: W81XWH-13-T-0004 RESPONSE DATE: October 3, 2012 CONTACT POINTS: Matthew Teel, Purchasing Agent, 301-619-2799 This is a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2001-27. This requirement is listed as unrestricted. The 2012 North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 334519. This code shall be listed in your CCR and ORCA in SAM prior to award. The United States Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity (USAMRAA) has a requirement for the United States Army Medical Research Institute for Chemical Defense (USAMRICD). The Minimum Essential Characteristics are as follows: Background/Objective: The United States Army Research Institute of Chemical Defense (USARICD) seeks to purchase eight (8) Aeroneb Lab Micropump Nebulizers (Brand Name or Equal), to be used for an upcoming study. Products Requirements All items must be new. Used or remanufactured equipment will not be considered for award. Minimum Essential Characteristic's for Nebulizers Small Volume Median Diameter (VMD) Nebulizer Unit: - Flow rate: >0.1 mL/min - Particle size:VMD between 2.5 m and 4.0 m - Residual volume: <0.2 mL - Nebulizer Unit Dimensions: 45 mm H x 50 mm W x 50 mm D (1.77 in. H x 1.97 in. W x 1.97 in. D) - Nebulizer Unit weight: 25 g (0.88 oz.) nebulizer unit and filler cap - Nebulizer Unit capacity: Maximum 10 mL - Nebulizer and components are latex free - Quantity 8 Standard Volume Median Diameter (VMD) Nebulizer Unit: - Flow rate: >0.3 mL/min - Particle size:VMD between 4.0 m and 6.0 m - Residual volume:<0.2 mL - Nebulizer Unit Dimensions:45 mm H x 50 mm W x 50 mm D (1.77 in. H x 1.97 in. W x 1.97 in. D) - Nebulizer Unit weight: 25 g (0.88 oz.) nebulizer unit and filler cap - Nebulizer Unit capacity: Maximum 10 mL - Nebulizer and components are latex free - Quantity 8 Micro pump nebulizer control module: - Control Unit Dimensions: 33 mm H x 75 mm W x 131 mm D (1.3 in. H x 2.9 in. W x 5.2 in. D) - Control Module cable: 1.8 m (5.9 ft.) long - Control Module weight: 178 g (6.3 oz.), including cable - Power source: a) AC/DC adapter (input 100 to 240VAC 50 - 60Hz, output 9V), b) OR an external 9V DC power supply - Power consumption: <2.57 Watts - Must be compatible with both Nebulizers All responsible sources may submit a quote, which shall be considered by the agency. The competitive solicitation, solicitation amendments and all questions and answers relating to this procurement shall be made available via the Internet at https://acquisition.army.mil/asfi/ or https://www.fedbizopps.gov. The solicitation is anticipated for release to the vendor community on or about, October 3, 2012, and will only be available until October 11, 2012. Specifications of the requirement are provided in solicitation: W81XWH-13-T-0004. Potential offerors are responsible for accessing the website. Interested parties must respond to the solicitation in order to be considered for award of any resultant contract. To be eligible for an award, offerors SHALL be registered with the Central Contractor Registry and have completed its representations and certification completed via SAM. Contractors may obtain information on registration and annual confirmation requirements via the SAM accessed through https://www.acquisition.govhttps://orca.bpn.gov/. All questions should be addressed in writing to Matthew Teel, Purchasing Agent at matthew.teel@amedd.army.mil. Only one set of questions shall be received from each offeror. Numerous emails from one offeror shall not be accepted. Telephone requests will not be honored and bidder lists will not be maintained. All interested parties shall provide their quote to Matthew Teel at matthew.teel@amedd.army.mil by 12:00 p.m. ET on October 11, 2012.
