Description

The contractor shall provide complete neurological monitoring services during neurosurgical procedures in the Operating Suites of the VA Medical Center, Lexington, Kentucky, which includes operating and maintaining neurological monitoring equipment. As equipment nor permanent staff are not available to perform these services, this contract is necessary and mandatory in order to carry out the objectives of providing the VA Medical Center, Lexington, Kentucky, with complete neurological monitoring services suitable for a medical center without an Neurological Monitoring Program, as well meet and comply with all JCAHO, Safety and Quality Assurance guidelines and regulations. Estimated, recurring need for this support service for this Medical Center based on past requirements is approximately four hours per operative session. This is a long-term recurring need with an estimate of need of approximately four hours per session, twice per week, for an estimated 50 weeks of the fiscal year. Hours of possible need shall be between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm, and will always be during a normal work day. There shall not be a need for this service after regular hours of operation, weekends, or holidays. The period of performance shall be for a base period and four one-year option periods. There will be a single award made from the solicitation, or the Government reserves the right to make no award from the solicitation.
