Description
MECs for Gel Imaging System (Brand Name or Equivalent) Minimum camera resolution must be 3 MP or higher with an ability to capture images with 12 bit or 16 bit depth Must have a small foot print of 21" (W) x 18" (D) x 23" (H) and door must not encroach on bench space The transilluminator of the imaging system must have a large viewing area (25 cm x 30 cm) so that gels of various dimensions can be accommodated. The maximum gel size the AlphaInnotech Red can accommodate is 15 cm x 15 cm and the maximum gel size UVP BioDoc-It can accommodate varies from 20 x 20 cm to 25 x26 cm depending on the chosen model as prices vary for the models Gel imaging system must have a large color touch screen (9 inches or larger), an easy and intuitive interface, with the ability to add annotation to photographs without the recourse of using other external software for image manipulation Gel imaging system must be networkable for easy storage of gel images to a user's folder on a network drive Must have an extended warranty and Lifetime software upgradability, and gel analysis software must be part of the package. Additional Information All responsible sources may submit a quote, which shall be considered by the agency. The competitive solicitation, solicitation amendments and all questions and answers relating to this procurement shall be made available via the Internet at https://acquisition.army.mil/asfi/ or https://www.fedbizopps.gov. The solicitation is anticipated for release to the vendor community on or about, October 5, 2012 and will only be available until October 12, 2012. Specifications of the requirement are provided in solicitation: W81XWH-13-T-0010 Potential offerors are responsible for accessing the website. Interested parties must respond to the solicitation in order to be considered for award of any resultant contract. All questions should be addressed in writing to Katrina Robertson, Contract Specialist at katrina.robertson@us.army.mil. Questions shall be submitted not later than 1200 hours (Eastern Day Light Savings Time) on October 9, 2012. Only one set of questions shall be received from each offeror. Numerous emails from one offeror shall not be accepted. Telephone requests will not be honored and bidder lists will not be maintained. All interested parties shall provide their quote to Katrina Robertson at katrina.robertson by 3:00 p.m. ET on October 12, 2012.
