Description
Details for sources sought synopsis. Details for sources sought synopsis. Details for sources sought synopsis. This announcement constitutes a Sources Sought Synopsis and Request for Information. The purpose of this Sources Sought is to conduct market research to determine if responsible sources exist, to assist in determining if this effort can be competitive and/or a total Small Business Set-Aside. The following information is provided to assist the Air Force in conducting market research of industry to identify sources of repair that meet Air Force requirements. This is neither a request for proposal nor an invitation for bid. There will be no reimbursement for the information provided. The PATS (Portable Automated Test System) group of the 516 SXMS/MXDED is building test systems for O-Level maintenance and repair. The O-Level environment can consist of using the PATS in exposed outside weather conditions. In the exposed outside weather conditions, self-test of the PATS is required to ensure proper functionality. To aid the PATS self-test functionality, cable wrap-around components are needed. These cable wrap-around components are required to have high reliability in these exposed weather conditions. Attachments Self-Test Wrap-Around Draft 201226995 and Self-Test Wrap-Around Draft 201227000 are examples of typical self-test assemblies that need to be procured under a contract with their necessary corresponding requirements. There will be 17 different self-test type assemblies and we'll need 54 each of all 17 different assemblies. Any deviation from the example drawings in Attachments Self-Test Wrap-Around Draft 201226995 and Self-Test Wrap-Around Draft 201227000 is prohibited due to meeting customer exposed weather condition requirements and MTBF requirements. The drawings in Attachments Self-Test Wrap-Around Draft 201226995 and Self-Test Wrap-Around Draft 201227000 are just examples of two of the 17 configurations. The other 15 drawings will be released with the Request for Quotation (RFQ). The PATS is a major O-level maintenance and repair program for the USAF. This activity will procure the assets necessary to repair and maintain current Electronic Environmental Systems, Weapon Systems and Avionics on various weapon platforms to insure on sight mission readiness.
