- Description
- The Southern AZ VA Health Care System (SAVAHCS) provides health care services to veterans of the U.S. Armed Services. As part of this care the SAVAHCS facility requires services to provide lab testing for specimens acquired during patient examinations. While the SAVAHCS facility operates its own lab organization, not all tests required for veteran care may be performed by the in-house lab services due to lack of equipment or personnel. The Contractor shall furnish all tools, labor, equipment, supplies, expertise, supervision, etc., required to provide lab testing for routine and STAT services as requested. This will be a non-personal service contract in support of all requested laboratory testing services. The Government shall not exercise any supervision or control over the contract service providers performing the services under this contract. The contract period shall be for a base year, estimated to be December 1, 2012 through Sept. 30, 2013 with four one year options, subject to the availability of funds. The procurement is conducted under authority listed in FAR Part 13. The applicable NAICS Code is 622110 and the size standard is $34.5 million dollars. This requirement is directly linked to patient care and is considered time sensitive. Responses to this solicitation are due by November 2, 2012, by 12:00PM Eastern Standard time. Copies of the solicitation may be obtained at no charge at the VA Business Opportunities System website http://www.bos.oamm.va.gov or http://www.fedbizopps.gov/ Dissemination is limited to electronic medium and the VA will provide no hard copies. Any amendments issued to this solicitation will also be available at the URL address. Offerors are advised that they are responsible for obtaining amendments. Offerors are instructed to read the entire solicitation prior to submitting any questions.
