- This is a Sources Sought Synopsis. This synopsis neither constitutes as a Request for Proposal, nor does it restrict the Government from an ultimate acquisition approach. This synopsis should not be construed as a commitment by the Government for any purpose. Requests for solicitation will not receive a response. All information is to be submitted at no cost or obligation to the U.S. Government. The U.S. Government reserves the right to reject, in whole or in part, any input as a result of this market survey. The U.S. Government is not obligated to notify respondents of the results of this survey. If a formal solicitation is generated at a later date, a solicitation notice will be published. No award will be made as a result of this market survey. The Contractor shall provide all labor, management, supervision, tools, material, and equipment required to perform Facility Investment services for on site backup generators and associated equipment in the form of preventive maintenance and emergency service requests for the Naval Support Activity in Monterey (NSAM) and the Annex Fleet Numerical Meteorology and Oceanography (FNMOC), Monterey, CA. The generators and equipment to be serviced are: One (1) General Motors Electromotive Division 2000 kW diesel Engine/Generator, Two (2) Load Banks and associated equipment One (1) 300 kW, 300DSE Detroit Diesel Generator set and associated equipment. One (1) 500 kW Cummins diesel engine/generator and associated equipment. One (1) 125 kW Cummins diesel generator set and associated equipment. The requirement is for quarterly, semi-annual, and annual preventative and emergency maintenance for the emergency generator systems and their associated equipment (ATS, Load Banks, compressor tanks, controls, etc.). The Government will only accept offers from small business concerns within the required miles radius of 150 miles, due to the critical need of timely response to emergency trouble calls. All interested sources must fill out the attached Sources Sought Market Research Questionnaire and email their response submissions no later than November 08, 2012.
