Description
The U.S. Coast Guard Surface Logistics Center, Small Boat Product Line, is seeking qualified sources that can provide various Freeman Marine Hatches, Windows, & Doors parts. The U.S. Coast Guard Surface Logistics Center, Small Boat Product Line, has a requirement to procure repair parts for various Freeman Marine Hatches & Doors parts, including and not limited to all parts, components and equipment for various hatches, windows and doors. These doors, windows, and hatches will be used to support the USCG 45' Response Boat Medium (RB-M), USCG 47' Motor Life Boat (MLB) and the 49' Stern Loading Buoy Boat (BUSL) boats. All parts supplied must be genuine Freeman Marine parts - no substitutes, or aftermarket parts shall be accepted. All parts shall be preserved, packaged and marked in accordance with Coast Guard specifications. Delivery shall be F.O.B. Destination. It is anticipated to award a fixed-price Requirements-type contract consisting of one (1) base year, and four (4) option years. All engineering and technical data, drawings, etc. required to manufacture these parts are proprietary information to the OEM. It is the Government's belief that only Freeman Marine can provide these doors, windows, and hatches therefore the Government shall solicit and negotiate only Freeman Marine and/or their authorized distributors. Concerns were given the opportunity to submit their capabilities in the Sources Sought Notice published on FBO on October 1, 2012. Request for Proposal (RFP) number HSCG40-13-R-51004 shall be available for download from FBO on or about November 2, 2012. This date is estimated at best. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which, if timely received, shall be considered by the Agency. This synopsis is issued pursuant to FAR 6.302-1.
