Description
This is a Sources Sought Notice for commercial services performed in accordance with this notice. This announcement constitutes the only notice for sources sought. Request for company background and capabilities brief are being sought and requested for this notice. An official solicitation notice is NOT applicable and will NOT be issued. The proposed acquisition is to be openly competed and the applicable NAICS is 236220 with a size standard of $1M annually. BRIEF BACKGROUND: The Fort Riley base support services provide common and recurring actions supporting a variety of maintenance and minor upgrade requirements. This requirement is being completed through a base wide, Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract (FAR 16.5). The Government anticipates the IDIQ contract to have a $4 million maximum contract value over the life of the contract, and a guaranteed minimum of $100,000 for the base ordering period. This contract will support a variety of base maintenance and small construction goals. It will be awarded to multiple companies who will bid for each service order. It will allow for a short turnaround time from receipt of requirement to placement of the order (96 hours). The contractor shall provide all materials, supplies, job site supervision, labor, and equipment to repair, construct real property facilities and provide related work as specified in the service order. This requirement includes, but is not limited to, general construction, carpentry, electrical systems work, plumbing, concrete, masonry, door replacement, painting, and mold restoration. Examples of new construction projects include: small administrative facilities; aircraft support systems facilities; firing ranges; training facilities; runways; pavements/hardstands; barracks; and kitchen/food service. Examples of similar repair/rehabilitation projects include: whole building renovations; repair or replacement of architectural elements; force protection upgrades; repair or replacement of mechanical, electrical or fire protection/detection systems; and asbestos and lead abatement services related to renovation activities. Interested contractors shall submit brief company capabilities, to ensure understanding of the requirement no later than October 31, 2012 by electronic means to david.f.bigelow4.mil@mail.mil For additional information, contact MAJ David Bigelow at (785) 240-3199.
