Description
NSN: 6680-01-058-3531 NSN: 6680-01-058-3530 This announcement constitutes a Sources Sought Synopsis. The purpose of this Sources Sought is to conduct market research to determine if responsible sources exist that would like to become qualified to manufacture the fuel probes for the F-16 aircraft. Any future requirements for this effort will be restricted to qualified sources. The following are the NSNs and part numbers for which the government is seeking sources: NSN: 6680-01-058-3530; Part Number: 16VE002008-4 NSN: 6680-01-058-3531; Part Number: 16VE002008-5 Attached to this sources sought notice are qualification requirements to become a qualified source. Interested sources are encouraged to follow these instructions implicitly. The Air Force has data and drawings to assist an interested party with the qualification process. The applicable data is linked to this notice. The data is export controlled; therefore, a company must be a DoD contractor to access which means a DD Form 2345 must be on file with the Joint Certification Program (JCP) administered by the Defense Logistic Information Service (DLIS). This is not a request for proposal or an invitation for bid. The government assumes no responsibility for costs incurred by the contractor during the qualification process; therefore, response is voluntary. The government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this announcement. Upon completion of this sources sought synopsis, the Government is contemplating a five-year contracting arrangement for manufacture of these parts. The government is also contemplating a total small business set-aside since at least two of the current qualified sources are small businesses.
