- Description
- Anniston Army Depot (ANAD) has a requirement to purchase complete M1 Abrams Ammo Racks composed of the following part numbers: Loaders side ammo rack part number (p/n) 12491125-2 minus the roof plate assembly p/n 12437180. Loaders 2 round ammo rack p/n 12491030. Commanders side ammo rack p/n 12491160-2 minus the roof plate assembly p/n12437181. Commanders 2 round ammo rack p/n 12491036 and swing frame p/n 12917085. The requirement for full implementation will be approximately 387 sets. All interested parties must contact Rita Dingler, at rita.b.dingler.civ@mail.mil, (256 235-6027) with your Company's name and mailing address no later than (NLT) 31 October 2012, 4:30 local time to obtain a non-disclosure statement. This statement must be signed in order to receive the following information by standard mail: a Quality Assurance Requirement Pamphlet 702-101(QAR) to ensure that all quality requirements are met, a Technical Data Package (TDP) for these parts and any other applicable documents. Forty-five (45) days after receipt of the QAR and TDP, all interested parties with the ability to meet these requirements shall provide your company's profile and must demonstrate in your technical/supporting documentation the following information: 1) demonstrate existing machinery and know how to produce long thin walled structures such as the ammo tubes, 2) provide proof of the capability, and the capacity, to perform the unique coating process for the Ammo tubes, 3) demonstrate your company can obtain the exact, correct, raw material for the complete Ammo Racks to include the Ammo Tubes in time to meet deliveries, 4) demonstrate the ability to begin delivery within 6 months after receipt of contract, 5) Submit a manufacture plan detailing the key processes, equipment, tooling and suppliers the proposed contractor will use executing the program, the plan should include a program time line/Gantt chart with key program milestones. 6) the racks must be new, not a remanufactured product (used will not be acceptable), and 7) Contractor must be able to provide first article sample of the Ammo Racks, including the tube, 60 days in advance of contract award.
