Description
This is a modification to the synopsis entitled ALARM PHILOSOPHY DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOP which was posted on October 25, 2012. You are notified that the following changes are made: The following Statement of Work is hereby added: The training will prepare attendees to evaluate the Central Process System need for alarm redesign, evaluate the benefits, and know the technology to use, identify the necessary resources for the work, and be able to participate as a fully qualified member of the redesign team.The alarm training shall discuss Philosophy and Alarm Management. The contractor shall provide individual quotes for these 2 parts. This training shall provide a complete, in-depth study of the state-of the technology for alarm management in process control applications. Training shall consist of two parts: Part 1: Alarm Management Philosophy (Week-Long Course) a) Philosophy development; b) Alarm management; c) Abnormal situation management; d) Strategy for alarm improvement; and e) Alarm performance review Part 2: Alarm Rationalization (Week Long Course) a) Alarm rationalization; b) Enhanced technique; c) Implementation and life cycle; and d) Situation assessment Training a) The training shall be provided at NASA Glenn Research Center; b) Training facility shall be provided by NASA Glenn Research Center; c) The training shall be conducted between the hours of 8:00 am EST to 5:00 pm EST; and 3) The training shall provide training materials for 25 attendees. The due date for responses (close of business, October 31, 2012) is not extended. Documents related to this procurement will be available over the Internet. These documents will reside on a World Wide Web (WWW) server, which may be accessed using a WWW browser application.
