Description

Intent to Sole Source: The Bureau of Public Debt, on behalf of the Office of the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau intends to award an Order to Waters Corporation for preventative maintenance and service of existing Waters equipment located in Beltsville, MD. Waters is the only company capable of providing Waters parts and Certified Trained Technicians. Technicians not trained by Waters may not be familiar with the complexity of the repairs required on the equipment. No solicitation package will be issued. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, the Government will consider responses received by November 5, 2012 by 2:00pm ET. Responses shall be submitted to PSB3@bpd.treas.gov, Attention: PWhite/BCooper. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
