Description
Vet Park Schematics DRAFT Vet Parks SOW This is a sources sought notice and market survey for information. The Regional Contracting Office for the 414th CSB in Vicenza, Italy will use the responses to this sources sought notice to determine potential firms capable of providing the services described herein prior to determining the method of acquisition and issuance of a Solicitation. The Government is not obligated and will not pay for any information received from potential sources as a result of this Sources Sought Notice. DESCRIPTION: The Contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, and supervision necessary to construct seven veterinary inspection and vaccination parks at Kutub, Kobenni, Um Leksheb, Ain Baha, Kendra, Kankossa and Ghoraye. BACKGROUND: The US Army Civil Affairs Team in Mauritania is seeking to enhance quality of life in the isolated communities of eastern Mauritania, close to the border with Mali. The health, safety and stability of these communities is currently under severe pressure from multiple threats, including the civil war and coup in neighboring Mali, which has further de-stabilized the area, while 70,000 newly arrived refugees have escalated food shortages. The US Army Civil Affairs Team accomplishes their mission by providing desperately needed humanitarian assistance to some of the most threatened villages in eastern Mauritania. The US Civil Affairs Team is building seven "Livestock Treatment and Vaccination Facilities" in key villages. These facilities make it possible for veterinarians to treat numerous animals (e.g., cattle, goats). At each of the seven locations, the US Army through non-governmental agencies and the Mauritanian Central Veterinarian Laboratory is training and equipping "Veterinary Auxiliaries". REQUIREMENTS: The Work shall include, but not limited to, the equipment, labor, materials, incidentals and other items required to construct the facilities in accordance with the associated technical specifications and associated drawings. The contractor shall be responsible for a correct sizing of the units, as specified in on the schematics. Line Clearing; the contractor shall brush out a swath along the specified fence line. Construction of metal fencing; All metal components shall conform to the European standards for UPN/IPN/plate steel. All posts shall be set in rebar-reinforced concrete settings.Bolts, washers, and nuts shall be of sufficient size to meet performance requirements. All bolts, washers, and nuts shall be zinc coated bolts. All exposed metal shall be painted with corrosive resistant paint. Concrete; Concrete shall be rebar reinforced with twenty-eight days cure availability. Rolling Metal Gate and Frame; gate shall be composed of steel beams. ATTACHED STATEMENT OF WORK IS A DRAFT VERSION ONLY AND WILL BE SUBJECT TO CHANGE PRIOR TO ISSUANCE OF A SOLICITATION. The Government contemplates A Firm-Fixed Price, with a period of performance of thirty days. SUBMITTAL INFORMATION: It is requested that interested businesses submit to the contracting office a brief capabilities statement package demonstrating ability to perform the services listed above. Brochures relative to the services may be submitted. All responses must include the following information: Company Name; Company Address; and a Point-of-Contact (POC) name, phone number, and e-mail address.
