- SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE. Marine Corps Base, Camp Pendleton, CA is conducting market research in order to identify the availability of sources that can operate and manage the Infantry Combat Equipment (ICE) repair facility at the School of Infantry (SOI), Camp Pendleton, CA. The Contractor would be required to provide necessary labor, supervision, and materials to perform the ICE repair, and an adequate number of personnel who are proficient in performing sewing and repairs in order to satisfy SOI requirements. Requirements include, but are not limited to, the repair of body armor jackets, Gortex parkas and trousers, field packs and sleeping systems. SOI trains an average of 35,000 Marines per year and requires the repair of an average of 100-200 sets of gear per week. Repair personnel would work on-site at the Government facility, be responsible for inspection of repaired items to ensure proper function, maintain accountability and order repair parts according to needs, and maintain a log that shows the amount of gear received and the amount of gear repaired. This is not a formal solicitation or a request for proposal. This is a sources sought announcement seeking to determine business interest in the acquisition. CLEARLY INDICATE BUSINESS SIZE AND STATUS. For the purpose of small businesses, the NAICS code for the proposed procurement is 811490 (size standard $7.0 million). Your response should include the following information: Company Name and Location, CAGE Code, Company Size and Socio-Economic status (i.e. Small Business, 8(a), HUBZone, Woman-Owned Small Business, Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business, etc.), number of employees, revenue for the last three (3) years, relevant past performance on same/similar work dating back no more than five (5) years, and your Company ™s capability to do this type of work. Documentation of technical expertise must be presented in sufficient detail for the Government to determine that your company possesses the necessary functional area expertise to compete for such services. This request for information is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, and the Government will not pay for information received as a result of this announcement. The results of this request may result in a future synopsis/solicitation announced on FEDBIZOPPS as a request for proposal.
