Description
Small Arms Support Description : DLA Land and Maritime (Columbus, OH) proposes to enter into a firm-fixed price, long-term indefinite quantity contract, which includes fixed-price option years as the approach to adjust prices for future contract periods. This project is comprised of 3 NSN's (1005-00-716-2102, 1095-01-413-9232 & 1005-01-536-9646 ) that supports a gun barrel case, training assembly bag and gun mount covers for the Browning 50 Cal. Machine Gun utilized by the United States Army. In addition these cases are used on various Navy ships such as the Littoral Combat Ship, Ticonderoga and Nimitz class ships as well as others. This indefinite quantity contract (IQC) solicitation is for 3 NSN's that are managed by DLA Land and Maritime (Columbus, OH), with an estimated annual dollar value of $810,799.93. The purpose of this acquisition is to provide long term stock coverage while reducing both administrative and production lead times at economic prices. The solicitation will be issued as a 100% Small Business Set-Aside, with full & open competition after exclusion of sources per FAR 6.203. The NSN's on this project have been provided in the past by certified small businesses. The solicitation is for one base contract year with the option to extend the contract four additional years in one-year increments. The Governments delivery requirements for the three NSN's are 90, 90 & 160 days if first article testing is waived and 225, 90 and 280 days if first article testing is not waived for the awardee. Note: The solicitation opens on November 16, 2012, at that time the solicitation document and attachments as well as the drawings will be available in the DLA Internet Bid Board System (DIBBS).
