- The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Field Acquisition Office, Grand Prairie, Texas, intends to make an award to a responsible offeror for the provision of Woodworking Instructor Services for the Federal Correctional Complex, Petersburg, Hopewell, Virginia. The contract type is an indefinite delivery/requirements contract with firm-fixed unit prices. The contract period shall consist of a base period from date of award through 12 months, and four one-year option periods for renewal at the discretion of the government. The estimated quantities for the base year and each option year are 1404 sessions. A session is defined as an hour. The normal work schedule is Monday through Wednesday, except Federal holiday, between the hours of 6:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., with a 30 minute unpaid lunch. The Contractor's applicant(s) must possess, through a combination of education and experience a comprehensive working knowledge of woodworking and cabinet making skills. The applicant must have experience in managing multiple tasks in the coordination of daily activities involving numerous groups of people, must possess a valid certification from an accredited woodworking program, and must have a minimum of three years related work experience. Special course work in cabinetry construction is required. Services will be performed for individuals who are in the custody and care of the Federal Bureau of Prisons within a secure correctional environment. The solicitation will be made available on or about November 6, 2012, and will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration Federal Business Opportunities website at www.fedbizopps.gov. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. All future information concerning this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will be distributed solely through this website. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure you have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. The North American Industrial Classification (NAICS) code is 611699, with a small business size standard of $7.0 million. All Contractors doing business with the Federal Government must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database. The website for registration is www.sam.gov. The date for receipt of proposals is on/about December 6, 2012; however, this is a projected estimate and offerors should refer to Page 1 of the solicitation (Block #8) for the actual date offers are due. Faith-Based and Community-Based Organizations can submit offers/bids/quotations equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible. This solicitation is set-aside for small business concerns. All responsible small business concerns are encouraged to submit an offer which may be considered.
