- The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Field Acquisition Office, Grand Prairie, Texas, anticipates issuance of solicitation IFBP02061300001 for the provision of Mobile MRI and (CT) Scan Services. Services are to be provided at the Federal Correctional Institution, located in Fort Dix, New Jersey. The contract type is an indefinite delivery/requirements contract with firm-fixed unit prices. The contractor shall provide nine Mobile MRI and CT scan each month for the inmate population in a correctional setting for the Health Services Department at FCI Fort Dix. The contract period will consist of a base period from date of award through 12 months, and four one-year option periods for renewal at the unilateral discretion of the government. The estimated quantities for the base year and each option year are 108 MRI'S and 108 CT Scan. The contractor will normally work, Monday through Friday (except federal holidays), between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. The Contractor will provide Mobile MRI and CT Scan services in accordance with Bureau of Prison policy. The solicitation will be made available on or about November 5, 2012, and will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration Federal Business Opportunities website at www.fedbizopps.gov. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. The website provides download instructions. All future information concerning this solicitation, including amendments, will be distributed solely through this website. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. The North American Industrial Classification (NAICS) code is 621512, with a small business size standard of $13.5 million. All contractors doing business with the Federal Government must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database. The website for registration is www.sam.gov. The date for receipt of bids is on November 28, 2012; however, this is a projected estimate and bidders should refer to Page 1 of the solicitation (Block #8) for the actual date bids are due. Faith-Based and Community-Based Organizations can submit bids equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible. This solicitation will be issued as unrestricted. All responsible small business concerns are encouraged to submit a bid which may be considered.
