Description

BOM HP BN Justification & Approval The 88th Communications Squadron has a requirement for the acquisition of hardware maintenance for Hewlett Packard (HP) 4730 Printers. The 88th CS currently utilizes 24 each HP 4730 printers on the network systems. These printers are used on all the networks that are supported by the 88th CS.. In order to ensure that these printers are maintained in accordance with manufacturer's specifications, and to maintain continuous support coverage, the manufacturer requires that certified HP maintenance providers be utilized. The 88th CS has continued maintenance support with HP since the procurement of these printers. The use of non-certified technicians would invalidate any warranty coverage and place continued operations of these printers in jeopardy should any of the supported printers fail. In addition, maintaining existing coverage for these printers eliminates the potential costs of having to purchase new, replacement libraries.
