Description
The U.S. Army, Army Contracting Command- New Jersey, Joint Armaments Center, Picatinny Arsenal, NJ 07806-5000, on behalf of the Munitions Engineering Technolgoy Center (METC), is conducting market research to locate companies interested in entering into a Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) with the U.S. Government. METC within the US Army Armaments, Research, Development and Engineering Center (ARDEC) at Picatinny Arsenal develop prototype grenade and demolition devices to provide US forces with improved capabilities. Some of these activities include the manufacture of plastic prototypes directly from computer aided design (CAD) software. A key component of these activities is 3D printers, able to directly manufacture prototype models greatly improving the timeliness of development. Currently the directorate uses Envisiontec brand printers. Interested sources should be capable of providing preventative and repair maintenance for Envisiontec 3D printers. The contractor shall deliver within 30 days of receipt of order and be credit card payment acceptable. Companies are invited to indicate their interests and capabilities by providing brochures and any information pertaining to their ability to provide the above requested services. All information is to be submitted via email at no cost or obligation to the Government; information provided will not be returned. Responses shall also indicate the size of the business entity, large or small and a copy of the most recent ORCA certifications and representations. Please provide the name of the company, address, POC, phone/fax number and email address. TELEPHONE INQUIRIES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. The Government will accept written questions via email only. Interested companies are encouraged to submit their capabilities/qualifications information no LATER than 20 November 2012. This is a Market Survey Announcement and submission of information will be used for informational and planning purposes only. This notice does not constitute a formal Request for Proposal (RFP)/Request for Quote (RFQ). In addition, the Government does not intend to pay for any information provided under this notice. The Government is not obligated to notify respondents of the results of this notice. However, in accordance with FAR 19.501, our intent is to establish BPAs with small businesses. In the event there arent enough responses from responsible small businesses, then large business responses will be accepted.
