- NOTICE OF THE INTENT TO AWARD OF A SINGLE SOURCE PURCHASE ORDER Solicitation Number: W911S0-13-BANDRENT This announcement is a notice of intent to award a sole source purchase order to The Ferguson Center for Performing Arts in accordance with FAR Part 13 and FAR 6.302-1, "Other Than Full and Open Competition - one responsible source". The applicable NAICS code is 711310,"Promoters of Performing Arts, Sports, and Similar Events with Facilities" with a size standard of 500 employees. The Mission and Installation Contracting Command (MICC) - Fort Eustis intends to issue a single source, commercial item purchase order for concert hall rental on 12-14 December 2012 and 29-30 March 2013 located within 20 miles of Fort Eustis, Virginia for the Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) Band. This purchase order is being awarded under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 253(c) (1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1 - "Only one responsible source" as the only viable course of action that provides for the size and requirements required by the TRADOC Band. This notice of intent to award is not a request for competitive proposals. However, MICC - Fort Eustis will consider any capability statements from interested parties received by 8:00 AM EST on Tuesday, 13 November 2012. Capability statements would normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. All responses shall be emailed to Shaina McKeel, Contract Specialist, shaina.s.mckeel.civ@mail.mil and LaTanya Johnson, Contracting Officer, at latanya.e.johnson.civ@mail.mil, no later than 8:00 AM EST on Tuesday, 13 November 2012.
