Description
Subj: Request for Information Synopsis for Maintenance Support Services of Fire and Rescue Emergency Response Vehicles PURPOSE: The purpose of this Request for Information (RFI) is to conduct market research which will be used to formulate an acquisition strategy to support the Motor Transport Maintenance Section, Transportation Branch, G-4 Logistics, Marine Corps Base (MCB), Quantico, VA. The Regional Contracting Office-National Capital Region (RCO-NCR) is requesting responses from small business concerns only. The qualifying code for this effort is NAICS 811198. The Motor Transport Maintenance (MTM) Section is tasked with providing maintenance, preservation, and servicing of the Garrison Mobile Equipment items that support MCB, Quantico and its tenant activities. The MTM's requirement will consist of maintenance services, equipment inspections, equipment repairs, and emergency response maintenance actions for fire, rescue, and emergency responding vehicles. Responsive maintenance and maintenance support for fire and rescue vehicles are needed for rescue personnel to aggressively protect life, property, and the environment aboard MCB, Quantico and the surrounding communities. This RFI is intended to evaluate industry service capabilities and solicit feedback for acquisition planning purposes. Objectives for this requirement include: (1) Fire and rescue vehicle equipment inspections and diagnosis; (2) Performing corrective maintenance to defects identified; (3) On-Call maintenance; (4) Ability to perform corrective maintenance services within a 24-72 hour time frame; (5) Ability to obtain repair parts for identified fire and rescue emergency response vehicles in a timely manner; and (6) Ability to provide repair parts to the MTM section for identified fire and rescue emergency response vehicles in a timely manner. Subject response must contain: (1) Capability statement sufficient to demonstrate capability to obtain parts and perform the types of required services; (2) Current commercial pricing sampling for like or similar items (not included in page count); (3) Link to the respondent's General Services Administration (GSA) schedule, or attached file of same, if applicable; (4) Citation of any current or past customers (i.e., within the past two (2) years) to include contract number, point of contact telephone number or e-mail address; and (5) other material relevant to establishing core competencies of the firm.
