This is not a solicitation/request for proposal and no contract shall be resultant from this synopsis. The Oklahoma City Air Logistics Center’s Contract Logistics Support Branch is seeking to identify sources that may be capable of providing Contractor Logistics Support (CLS) Engine Support for the KC-10 Program, General Electric (G.E.) Engine CF6-50-C2. This is a Request for Information (RFI) only, which as part of market research is being issued in accordance with (IAW) Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) subpart 15.201(e). This is not a solicitation/request for proposal and no contract shall be resultant from this synopsis. The Oklahoma City Air Logistics Center's Contract Logistics Support Branch is seeking to identify sources that may be capable of providing Contractor Logistics Support (CLS) Engine Support for the KC-10 Program, General Electric (G.E.) Engine CF6-50-C2. DESCRIPTION: The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code is 336412, size standard 1,000 employees. The Contractor shall provide CLS Engine Support for the KC-10 Program, G.E. Engine CF6-50-C2. The current KC-10 fleet size consists of 59 KC-10 Aircraft, 204 engines. Thirty-two KC-10 aircraft are assigned to McGuire AFB, NJ, and 27 are assigned to Travis AFB, CA. The KC-10 Engine contractor shall provide mission essential support to the United States Air Force (USAF). The anticipated contract shall be an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Federal Acquisition Regulation Part 12 contract for CLS services in support of essential global operations and logistics support with FAA certified parts and maintenance for the KC-10 Engines. This effort consists of three (3) general categories of support: (1) Engine Teardown and Overhaul (2) On-wing support/Contract Field Teams (3) Engine parts and logistics. The Contractor shall provide for engine maintenance at a facility that is certified under FAA FAR Part 145 for inspecting, repairing, maintaining and modifying the KC-10 engines. The Contract shall provide serviceable engines necessary to maintain the KC-10 in a MC and airworthy status. The Contract shall perform maintenance and service actions IAW FAA Regulations in order to maintain FAA Type Certification. The Contractor shall resolve maintenance, repair, modification, design/development and engineering issues. The Contractor shall provide global support to return the aircraft to a mission capable status when an aircraft is Non Mission Capable (NMC) off station, in PEACETIME and WARTIME, in Continental United States (CONUS) and Outside CONUS (OCONUS). The Contractor shall maintain a minimum of 12 serviceable spare engines. The Contractor shall provide a 24 hours a day, 7 days a week single point of contact that will initiate global support activities when notified by the CLS Contractor and direction is provided by the PCO. The anticipated period of performance includes a 2-year basic, three 1-year options, three 1-year incentive options. The anticipated period of performance also includes a 6 month transition period and a provision for the continuation of services extension up to six (6) months. This brings the anticipated total contract period to 9 years.
