Description
The Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support (DLATS) is a Primary Level Field Activity and Inventory Control Point (ICP) of the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA), Department of Defense (DOD). DLATS is seeking prospective vendors for the proposed acquisition of the Ramp Assembly/Mat Landing National Stock Number (NSN) 5680-01-333-5875. The Ramp Assembly is 6061-T6 aluminum extrusions and has the same connectors as AM2 matting and conforms to AM2, Mod 5 landing mat specifications. It provides an easier transition between the ground/pavement and the AM2 matting surface as well as to help prevent excessive roughness to the aircraft. A smoother transition can help prevent vibrations and jarring that could cause fatigue damage to the aircraft. It also helps minimize aircraft dynamic response, and increases aircraft performance. Each F60 Pallet measures 4'-0 x 6'-4"x 1'-4" and consists of 9-Ramps Assemblies, part #622523-1, 45.25"x 75", which includes 5 EA threaded screw inserts, 1 approach ramp extrusion, 1 mat end ramp extrusion, 1 connector angle and 1 connector T Bar; 2 end frames, 623144-1; 2 end plates, 323247 and 45 screw inserts and screws. DLATS intends to solicit this acquisition as a onetime requirement for 6 each and only one award will be made. The total quantity is 36 each. The solicitation will be issued on a full and open competition, unrestricted basis under solicitation number SPM8E6-12-R-0005. Based on available data the estimated value of this acquisition is $379,393.20. This acquisition is subject to the Trade Agreement Act of 1979 [See Numbered Note 12]. An award is anticipated no later than February 02, 2013. Based upon market research, the Government is not using the policies contained in Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, in its solicitation for the described or services. However, interested persons may identity to the contracting officer their interest and capability to satisfy the Government's requirement with a commercial item within 15 days of this notice [See Numbered Note 26]. The solicitation will be made available on HTTPS://WWW.DIBBS.BSM.DLA.MIL. From the home page, select solicitation, than search the RFP/IFB data base for the subject acquisition. Drawings are available in DMS. The DLATS POC(s) for drawing information is Francis Rahill (215) 737-3933 or via email francis.rahill@dla.mil or John Martino (215) 737-3928 or via email john.martino@dla.mil.
