- A market survey is being conducted to determine if there are a reasonable number of interested small business concerns to set this future project aside for them. If your firm is a Small Business, certified HUBZONE, 8A, or Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business and you are interested in this project please respond appropriately. The proposed project is for the construction and renovation of laboratory facility, Building 20045. Construction will include all labor, equipment, and materials to modify approximately 34,000 SF of Facility 20045 to current code compliant administrative space for the command, control and administration of the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) scientific and technological research and development programs. Work will include interior demolition and the replacement of HVAC, power, lighting, and fire protection systems. Work will also include replacement of interior partitions, doors, frames, and hardware, and finishes. Contract duration is estimated at 450. The estimated cost range is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. NAICS is 236220. All interested Small Businesses, certified HUBZONE, 8A, or Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business contractors should respond to this survey by email 19 November 2012 by 12:00 Eastern Standard Time. Responses should include: (1) Identification and verification of the company's small business status. (2) The level of performance and payment bonding capacity that the company could attain for the proposed project. (3) Descriptions of Experience - Provide descriptions of your firm's past experience on projects more than 90% complete or those projects completed within the last 5 years which are similar to this project in size, scope, and dollar value. a. Projects similar in scope to this project include: Construction projects completed within the last 5 years which were renovations and included the replacement of mechanical, electrical and architectural systems. b. Projects similar in size to this project include: Renovation projects completed within the last 5 years which included a minimum of 30,000 square feet of space. c. Projects similar in dollar value to this project include: $3,000,000 or greater. Based on the definitions above, for each project submitted, include: a. Identify who was the Prime Contractor b. Identify the percentage of self performed direct contract labor excluding other general condition or field overhead personnel, material, equipment, or subcontractors. c. Current percentage of construction complete and the date when it was or will be completed. d. Size of the project. e. Dollar value of the project.. (4) A statement of the portion of the work that will be self performed on this project, and how it will be accomplished.
