Description
This Request for Information (RFI)/Sources Sought Notice is issued for informational and planning purposes only. This is not a Request for a Quote (RFQ). It is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract. Letterkenny Army Depot is currently conducting market research to locate qualified, experienced, and interested potential sources. Negative replies are also sought. Contractor should not include any pricing. Letterkenny Army Depot is seeking information concerning the availability of capable contractors to supply the following items: 0001. Fuse igniter, pull string type. Disposable, one time use. Consists of a small diameter paper tube which contains an ignition cup, pull wire, fuse grip ferrule and fuse stop ferrule. On the outside of the smaller paper tube is a paper sleeve with a safety clip and white plastic safety cap attached. The device functions by pulling the pull wire through the igniter cup which causes the igniter cup to ignite in a manner similar to a safety match. The ignition of the igniter cup effects ignition of the safety fuse. As the name suggests, the fuse stop ferrule prevents the fuse from being inserted too far into the lighter. The Fuse Igniter is for one time use and will work with commercial or military M700 type time fuse. UN ID: UN0131 Class: 1.4S Net explosive weight:.11 lbs (.05 kg) per 1,000 WPI Shelf life: 4 Years in unopened barrier bag Temperature range: -20 deg F(-29 deg, C) to 120 deg.
