Equipment List REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) SUMMARY: REQUIREMENT: EQUIPMENT REFRESH FOR THE CENTRIXS ISAF NETWORK INSTALLATION SUPPORTING THE ARMY 335TH THEATER SIGNAL COMMAND THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS. NO SOLICITATION IS AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. This sources sought announcement is published for market research purposes. This market research will be used to help identify authorized Value Added Resellers (VARs), of which are Small Businesses capable of delivering the required multi-brand name (Panduit, Belkin, Dell, Netapp, Viasat, Cisco, MicroSoft, DirWiz, Vmware, Vizioncore, Macafee) hardware, software and maintenance support (on an all or nothing basis) as listed in the attached Equipment List. The Government requests that prospective offerors return a statement demonstrating their capability to provide all the required hardware and maintenance in the attached Equipment List. The response must include the business type of the vendor (large business, small business, small disadvantaged business, 8(a)-certified small disadvantaged business, HUBZone small business, woman-owned small business, veteran-owned small business, or service-disabled veteran-owned small business). The Government is in no way obligated to do business with or to enter into any form of contract with any person, firm, or other entity that receives or responds to this announcement. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this announcement. BACKGROUND: This acquisition is in support of the CENTRIXS International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) to replenish the hardware and software that will be used at the Army 335th Theater Signal Command. The 335th Signal Command (Theater) is a multi-component unit with soldiers from the United States Army, U.S. Army Reserve, the Active Guard Reserve (AGR) and Department of the Army Civilians (DAC). U.S. Army. The 335th SC (T) operates the Army's portion of the Global Information Grid in the CENTCOM AOR. The command ensures delivery of seamless, enterprise-level command, control, communications, computers and information management services as required by Army Network Operations (NETOPS). Additionally, the 335th SC (T) provides assured delivery of common user services in support of Combatant Commanders and the Army Service Component Command. The command is responsible for managing the telecommunications infrastructure for Southwest Asia, an area covering 25 countries, in support of the U.S. Third Army/ Army Central Command (ARCENT) and U.S. Central Command's (CENTCOM) peacetime and ongoing contingency operations. DISA intends to issue a FFP contract or delivery order to a single vendor that can provide all items identified in this sources sought notice. No used, repaired, remanufactured or "gray market" items. All items must be covered by the original manufacturer's warranty. RESPONSES TO RFI : All responses should specifically describe the contractor's ability to meet the requirements outlined in the RFI. Marketing Brochures will not be considered adequate information as a response to this RFI. All small businesses are strongly encouraged to submit their responses. Neither unsolicited proposals nor any other kinds of offers/quotes will be considered in response to this RFI or accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Contractors are solely responsible for all expenses associated with responding to this RFI. All information received in response to this RFI that is marked proprietary or confidential will be treated accordingly. Information received in response to this RFI will not be returned. The purpose of this RFI is to gather market research quotes on potential sources that have the capabilities to deliver multi-brand name hardware, software and maintenance support to the Defense Information Systems Agency.
