- NOTE: THE CLOSING DATE OF THIS RFQ IS HEREBY EXTENDED UNTIL NOVEMBER 28, 2012. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- An oral request for quotations will be solicited for the following items as a small purchase: Fabric Bag, Tan, MCP, NSN: 8340-01-337-9215 and Support Strap, MCP, NSN: 8465-01-336-7034. Quantities: 2,000 each and 10,000 each respectively. Delivery destinations are New Cumberland, PA and Barstow, CA. Submittal of First Article is required 60 days after date of award. This solicitation will be a HubZone Set-Aside. RFQ document can be obtained by contacting Ricardo Pérez by e-mail at ricardo.perez@dla.mil or by calling at 215-737-2412. These documents will be available until September 28, 2012. Oral quotations will be requested at the same time of this announcement. The closing date for oral quotations is October 01, 2012. The Defense Appropriations and Authorization Acts and other statutes (including what is commonly referred to as "The Berry Amendment") impose restrictions on the DOD's acquisition of foreign products and services. Generally, Clothing and Textile items (as defined in 252.225-7014), including the materials and components thereof (other than sensors, electronics, or other items added to, and not normally associated with clothing), must be grown, reprocessed, reused, melted or produced in the United States, its possessions or Puerto Rico, unless one of the DFARS 225.7002-2 exceptions applies.
