MSC's Engineering Directorate is responsible for all aspects of ship maintenance, repair, and alteration and material readiness for the MSC fleet. Throughout the period of performance of this contract, new ships will be introduced into the MSC fleet, ships will undergo life extensions, and ships will be retired from service. This contract will provide paints, coatings, solvents, and preservation products for all MSC ships and any other Government-owned or Government-chartered ships designated by MSC. The Government is contracting not only for specific products and services, but also for the availability and delivery of these products and services on a worldwide basis within specific time constraints defined for each named port or geographic region. This contract will also provide non-personal services to the Engineering Directorate in the areas of engineering services including field service technical representative, training, service calls, technical evaluation, and troubleshooting services. The period of performance will include a one year firm period, with four one-year option periods. This procurement is a FAR part 15 negotiated procurement.
