- November 13, 2012 THIS IS A SUBCONTRACTING OPPORTUNITY ResCare, Inc., contracting for the U.S. Department of Labor, for the operation of Edison Job Corps Center, is currently soliciting written proposals for the subcontracted operation of the Center Dentist for Edison Job Corps Center. The Edison Job Corps Center, located 500 Plainfield Avenue, Edison, New Jersey is requesting bids to provide dental care services and dental health education as outlined in the attached subcontract agreement for the period January 1, 2013 through December 31, 2013 with two option years. Job Corps, a federal program administered by the U.S. Department of Labor provides Academic and Vocational Training to economically disadvantaged youth between the ages of 16 to 24. Scope of Work 1. The Center Dentist will be required to provide on-center dental services not to exceed twenty four (24) hours per week. 2. On-call support coverage for emergencies and alternative coverage for planned absences coordinated with the Center Management and Health Services unit. 3. Work shall be accomplished in accordance with the requirements of the Department of Labor's Policy and Requirement Handbook, PRH, Chapter 6 and as outlined in the attached "Subcontract for Center Dentist". Qualifications 1. Resume of Qualifications 2. Certification, licensing or accreditation in New Jersey 3. Experience in providing health care for adolescents and young adults. 4. Admission and attending privileges at local hospitals or specialty clinics which accept third party payment for services rendered to students. 5. Academic affiliation with nearby professional school(s) or college(s). Provisions of regularly scheduled services may be on any day(s), as long as times are mutually agreed upon by the Center Dentist provider, Center Management and the Health Services unit. As indicated above, all bidders are required to furnish a copy of their licenses, insurance certificate and a resume. Consideration will be given to experience in provision of health care to disadvantaged young adults. We invite you and/or any of your affiliates to visit the Edison Job Corps Center.
