Description
Draft specification for ANVIL The U.S. Coast Guard Surface Forces Logistics Center, contracting and procurement IBCT product line intends to issue a solicitation requesting proposals for dockside repairs for the U.S. Coast Guard Cutter ANVIL (WLIC 75301) a 75 foot "A Class" inland construction tender. The Coast Guard intends to conduct this procurement in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR Part 15, Contracting by Negotiation. This procurement will be issued as a small business set aside. The NAICS code will be 336611 and the small business size standard will be less than 1000 employees. The solicitation will be issued as a best value request for proposal (RFP) approximately 20 November 2012 with proposals due approximately 20 December 2012. Proposals will be evaluated using price and past performance as evaluation factors with past performance being considered more important than price. The solicitation/RFP will be issued via the Federal Business Opportunity (FedBizOpps) website at http://www.fbo.gov/. A hard copy solicitation will not be issued. Contractors will need to monitor the FedBizOpps website for RFQ/solicitation release and any subsequent amendments. All required dock side repairs will be at the cutter's home pier in Charleston, SC. The performance period is anticipated to be from approximately April 9, 2013 - May 8, 2013.
