- Industry Day Agenda Registration Addendum for Foreign Nationals. Must be returned no later than 12/07/12. Registration Form for Industry Day. Please see form for instructions. SYNOPSIS The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Domestic Nuclear Detection Office's (DNDO) will conduct the DNDO 2013 Industry Day on 23 January 2013, at George Mason University's Arlington campus in the Founder's Hall Auditorium located at 3401 Fairfax Drive, Arlington, Virginia 22201. Directions and local-area hotel information is accessible at: http://www.gmu.edu/resources/welcome/arlingtonhotel.html. Additionally, Virginia Square is the nearest orange-line metro stop to the facility. The 2013 Industry Day will provide prospective vendors, National Laboratories, and Federal Partners an overview of DNDO's product acquisition priorities and long-term research and development (R&D) focus areas as they align to the Department's Global Nuclear Detection Architecture (GNDA) strategy. DNDO Product Acquisition and Deployment Directorate (PADD) and Transformational and Applied Research (TAR) program representatives will review programs and key challenges as it relates to identifying, researching and developing detection identification technology for radiological and nuclear (rad/nuc) threats. The day will also include discussions from operational end-users, and overviews of the Commercial First approach; System Engineering & Evaluation Directorate; and specific rad/nuc programs within DNDO. A question and answer session is anticipated for the end-user panel discussion; interested vendors and attendees are encouraged to submit questions with their completed registration forms (see registration form in announcement). All releasable information provided during the DNDO Industry Day will be posted on the Federal Business Opportunities website after the event. DISCLAIMER: The DNDO 2013 Industry Day does not indicate a promise or intention to issue a request for proposals, request for quotes, or follow up acquisition of any type. DNDO will not assume liability for costs incurred by attendees or for preparations, travel expenses or marketing efforts; therefore, vendors' expenses in response to this notice are not considered an allowable direct charge to the Government. REGISTRATION Registration will be conducted in advance and is open to all interested parties. This is an UNCLASSIFIED event; security clearance visit request are not required. •Non-US citizens are required to complete and submit the enclosed ‘Incoming Foreign National Visitors' form no later than 5:30 pm Eastern Time on December 7, 2012 (submit according to form instructions). This security requirement will be strictly followed and late ‘Incoming Foreign National Visitor' forms and/or walk-ins will not be permitted. Registration forms must be fully completed and emailed to DNDOIndustryDay@hq.dhs.gov by 5:30 pm Eastern Time on December 18th, 2012. Late registrations and "walk-in" requests will not be permitted. Interested organizations and vendors responding to this notification should indicate whether they are a National Laboratory, Federal Agency, large or small business, small disadvantaged business, woman-owned business, and/or service disabled veteran-owned small business. Responses should contain the organization/company name, street address, a company point of contact name, phone number, email address, company web page URL, if applicable, and employee type (i.e. Federal or Contractor). All responses must be unclassified. This is a no-fee event, and due to space constraints seating is limited to a maximum of three (3) participants per company. Event check-in will open at 0700 and presentations will begin promptly at 0800. Attendees are encouraged to arrive early to permit time for the check-in process. •Attendees must present a current photo identification matching the attendee's information submitted via the registration form to gain entry into the event. COMMENTS, CLARIFYING QUESTIONS, AND RESPONSES Written comments, questions, suggestions and/or recommendations are encouraged and should be submitted with the registration form. At any time after receipt of comments/questions, DNDO reserves the right to contact respondents for further clarification of the submittal. All releasable questions and answers will be posted to the Federal Business Opportunities website, along with all releasable information presented during the event. This announcement does not represent a contract, a promise to contract, or a commitment of any kind on the part of the Government.
