- TWT SQS F-16 Traveling Wave Tube NSN: 5960-01-341-5198 NAICS: 33411 Sources Sought Synopsis: FA8251-12-R-Traveling Wave Tube TWT Classification Code: 59 The 416 SCMS/GUMAD has a valid requirement and is seeking contractors who have skills, experience, and knowledge required to successfully repair TWTs. The nature of the majority of the repairs are major and can be considered a re-manufacture effort. The estimated value of the acquisition is approximately $8 Million. If a contract is awarded, it is anticipated that the contract would be a fixed price requirements type contract with a 5 year period of performance. The TWT is a component in the Dual Mode Transmitter (DMT) a major end item within the AN/APG-68 Radar system. The TWT takes a low power Rf signal and amplifies it to a high power radar level for transmission from the radar antenna. Prequalification is required prior to being considered for contract award. Contractors shall submit their data package to the Government consisting of the elements of section "C", 1 through 5, of the attached Source Qualification Statement. Upon approval of the data submission, each contractor shall provide the government a qualification article. Engineering data in support of this synopsis can be purchased by contacting OO-ALC/ENLDA, Elaine Busk. The request can be emailed to elaine.busk@hill.af.mil or faxed to (801)-586-4130.
