Description
The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center (SPAWARSYSCEN) Atlantic, Code 6.3.2.0 is seeking information on services to develop the Air Force Medical Services (AFMS) Automated Identification and Data Collection (AIDC) system to track within the Military Treatment Facilities (MTF) and Dental Treatment Facilities (DTM) the following: 1) Staff and patients 2) Inventory control 3) Surgical tray and medical devices 4) Assets 5) Compliance (temperature monitoring and hygiene) These facilities require automated tracking, generally summarized as real time location services (RTLS), for mandated recall and monitoring capabilities in real-time to effectively comply with all federal, state, local, DoD and Air Force rules, laws and regulations. The enterprise needs to develop and deploy an AIDC RTLS-based infrastructure that will provide an effective and efficient means of automated tracking, monitoring and accounting for all patients, medical equipment/devices and non-medical equipment located within the Medical Treatment Facility (MTF). Existing wireless infrastructure varies by MTF. The integrated solution may be implemented by a variety of AIDC technologies such as: WIFI, ZigBee, Ultra High Frequency (UHF), Ultra Wideband (UWB), Bluetooth (BT), Very High Frequency (VHF), High Frequency (HF), Infrared (IR) and Ultrasound (US). The AIDC infrastructure will initially operate at the eight currency platforms located at: Keesler, Travis, Eglin, Langley, Elmendorf, Wilford Hall, Wright-Patterson and Nellis). SUBMITTALS: This RFI is for information GATHERING AND PLANNING PURPOSES ONLY, and SHOULD NOT be construed as a Request for Proposal (RFP) or solicitation of an offer. The Government DOES NOT INTEND TO AWARD a contract on the basis of this RFI or otherwise pay for the information solicited. All information received will be treated as public knowledge; therefore, vendors should not submit proprietary information in response to this RFI. SPECIFIC INFORMATION SOUGHT INCLUDES: 1. Company information, including name, address, and URL 2. Whether the company is a manufacturer, distributor, or service provider. 3. A point of contact for follow-up information, and the point of contacts phone number and e-mail address 4. A brief description (75 words or less) of capabilities and existing or related products. 5. Any relevant cost information such as purchase price and General Services Administration (GSA) schedule information.
