Description
A market survey is being conducted to determine if there are a reasonable number of interested small business concerns to set this future project aside for them. If your firm is a Small Business, certified HUBZONE, 8A, Woman Owned Small Business or Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business and you are interested in this project please respond appropriately. The proposed project is for the construction of an Infantry Squad Battle Course at Ft Knox, KY. The Fort Knox Infantry Squad Battle Course will consist of constructing a new Range Operations and Control Area (ROCA). The ROCA will have seven buildings, Range Control Tower, Operations and Storage Building, Covered Mess, Classroom Building, Bleacher Enclosure, Aerated Vault Latrine, and Ammunition Breakdown Building, surrounding an existing central parking lot. Each structure shall be built on a concrete pad, with utility services extended to the building from existing utility lines running down the existing roadway. The primary features of the range include: 20 Stationary Infantry Targets (SITs), 6 Stationary Armor Targets (SATs), 1 Moving Armor Target (MAT), 5 Machinegun-Observation Bunkers (MGB) equipped with a Sound Effects Simulator (SES), 6 Moving Infantry Targets (MITs), and 2 Trench Obstacles. All targets shall require emplacements and shall be hardwired. Additional work on this project consists of clearing and grubbing, constructing approximately 2400 linear feet of gravel service roads, grading, and drainage. Contract duration is estimated at 365 days. The estimated cost range is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. NAICS is 236220. All interested Small Businesses, certified HUBZONE, 8A, or Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business contractors should respond to this survey by email December 10, 2012 by 12:00 Eastern Standard Time. Responses should include: (1) Identification and verification of the company's small business status. (2) The level of performance and payment bonding capacity that the company could attain for the proposed project. (3) Descriptions of Experience - a. Projects similar in scope to this project include: MILCON Range Project consisting at a minimum SITs, SATs, MATs, MGBs, MITs, masonry buildings, bleacher enclosures, latrines, and classroom buildings. b. Projects similar in size to this project include: Range projects which constructed 15 or more SITS, 1 SAT, 1 MAT, 1MGB, 1 MIT targets. c. Projects similar in dollar value to this project include: $3.75M minimum award amount, single project (4) Based on the definitions above, for each project submitted Iinclude: a.Current percentage of construction complete and the date when it was or will be completed. b.Scope of the project. c. Size of the project. d.Dollar value of the project. e.The portion and percentage of the project that was self preformed. f.
