Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 8, intends to negotiate a sole source procurement with TeraRecon, Inc. 2955 Campus Drive, Suite 325, San Mateo, CA 94403-2517. This proposed contract action is to procure Aquarius iNtuition APS recurring licenses and maintenance services for all VISN 8 hospitals. To the best of our knowledge, TeraRecon, Inc. is the only company that can provide this recurring licenses and maintenance for their equipment. The VA intends to procure this requirement on a sole source basis in accordance with the statutory authority of 41 USC Sec. 3304 as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES and no solicitation will be issued; however, any vendor that believes it can meet these requirements may give written notification to Derrick Williams, Contract Specialist at Derrick.Williams6@va.gov. Vendors must provide supporting evidence in sufficient detail to demonstrate their ability to comply with the above requirements. The applicable NAICS is 334111. Responses are due by December 5, 2012, 3:00PM (EST). A determination not to compete this proposed contract is based on responses to this notice and is solely within the discretion of the Government. Responses will be considered solely for determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. If no responses are received, NCO 8 will conduct sole source negotiations with TeraRecon Inc. as noted herein. Costs associated with the preparation and submission of information and/or any follow-up information requests are the responsibility of the vendor and these costs will not be reimbursed by the Government.
