- The United States Coast Guard is considering whether or not to set aside an acquisition for HUBZone concerns, for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business Concerns (SDVOSB) or for Small Business. The small business size standard is less than 1,000 employees. The NAICS Code is 336611. The acquisition is for Drydock Repairs of the United States Coast Guard ANT Eufaula 643501, a 64' AIDS to NAVIGATION BOAT. Work shall be performed at the contractor's facility. The performance period will be Ninety -One (91) calendar days with an anticipated start date on or about 4 March through 3 June 2013. Restriction: Restricted to an area no greater than 350 nautical mile from the ANB's home station, on navigable waterways and no open water transits. Home Station: United States Coast Guard ANT Eufaula, Colfax, AL 36027. The scope of work for this acquisition is but not limited to: Provide General Welding: Flat Plate Renewal (3/16" Steel), Flat Plate Renewal (1/4" Steel), Flat Plate Renewal (5/16" Steel), Flat Plate Renewal (1/2" Steel), Crack Repair (Steel/Aluminum), Overlay (Steel/Aluminum), Overlay (Stainless), Crop/Renew (1/2" Tubing), Crop/Renew (3/4" Tubing), Crop/Renew (1" Tubing), Crop/Renew (1 1/2" Tubing), Crop/Renew (2" Tubing), Crop/Renew (1 1/2" Steel Pipe), Crop/Renew (2 1/2" Steel Pipe) Fuel Fill & Fuel Vent, Inspect Hull Plating, U/W Body, Hull Plating (U/W Body), Ultrasonic Testing, Additional (50) UT Shots, Voids (Non-Accessible), Leak Test, Clean and Inspect Fuel Service Tank, Inspect Accessible Spaces, Clean and Inspect Tanks (Potable Water), Clean and Inspect Voids (Accessible), Clean and Inspect Tanks (Ballast), Inspect Mast, Inspect and Install Propeller Shaft, Remove Inspect and Install Port Propeller Shaft, Starboard Propeller Shaft, Renew Water Lubricated Shaft Bearings, Remove and Install Propeller, Clean, Inspect and Hydro Grid Coolers, Clean and Inspect Exhaust Muffler, Clean and Inspect Main Engine and Ship Service Generator Uptakes, Renew Standard Hoses, Renew Non-Standard Hoses, Renew Sea Valves, Overhaul or Renew Fuel Valves, Clean and inspect Steering Hydraulic Oil Tank, Remove, Inspect and Reinstall Rudder, Remove, Port Rudder, Starboard Rudder, Perform Buoy Handling System Maintenance (Level 2), Overhaul Chain Stopper, Inspect and Preserve Spuds and Spud Wells, Inspect Spud Winch, Clean and Inspect Sewage Vacuum Collection Tanks, Renew Cathodic Protection / Zincs, U/W Body, Preserve ("100%"), Preserve Decks - Exterior (Buoy), Preserve ("100%"),Freeboard, Preserve ("100%"), Perform Pull Test and Non-Destructive Testing of Pad Eyes, Remove and install, Remove and Install Watertight Closures, 15" X 24" Oval Lift Out Steel Ring, Main Hold, Provide Routine Drydocking, Provide Temporary Logistics, Provide Full Power Trial Performance, Provide Composite Labor, GFE, Lay Days All welding and brazing shall be accomplished by trained welders who have been certified by the applicable regulatory code performance qualification procedures. At the present time, this acquisition is expected to be issued as a Small Business Set- Aside. At least two (2) references are requested, but more are desirable. Contractors are reminded that should this acquisition become a HUBZone set aside or SDVOSB Small Business, FAR 52.219-3, Notice of Total HUBZone Set-Aside or 52.219-27, Notice of Total Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business Set-Aside, will apply, which requires that at least fifty (50) percent of the cost of personnel for contract performance be spent for employees of the concern or employees of other HUBZone small business concerns. Your response is required by December 10th, 2012 12:00 pm EST All of the above must be submitted in sufficient detail for a decision to be made on a HUBZone, Service-Disabled Veteran-owned Small Business, or Small Business set aside.
