- DESCRIPTION This is a Pre-Solicitation Notice. The McClellan Park Network Contracting Office (NCO21) is issuing a Pre-Solicitation Announcement to set-aside for 100% Small Businesses (SB) who can provide maintenance and repairs to various types of fitness equipment for the Veterans Affairs Palo Alto Healthcare System (VAPAHCS) located at 3801 Miranda Avenue, Palo Alto, CA 94304 and various other sites. Scope of Work- The vendor shall provide the necessary qualified staff able to provide quarterly inspection, maintenance and repairs to approximately 100 fitness equipment located at various locations with the VAPAHCS. Most fitness equipment is equipped with heart rate monitors, other monitoring functions and programmable displays. Equipment include stationary bikes, elliptical trainers, treadmills, leg press, chest press, ARC trainer, multipurpose functional trainer, rowing machine, bow flex, Stairmaster, etc. This will be a Base plus 4 Option Years contract. Base period of performance is expected to begin on/about 1 February 2013 to Jan 31, 2014. The NAICS code is 811310 with Small Business size of $7.0 million. The solicitation document, VA261-13-R-0471, is expected to be posted on/about Dec 6, 2012. Eligible and interested vendors should download a copy of the solicitation and attachments in the FBO website (www.fbo.gov ) to submit bid proposals. All questions must be submitted by email to leala.jew@va.gov. No telephone questions will be accepted. A Site visit will be scheduled. Potential offerors should view the Site Visit Clause for the scheduled dates. Offerors are encouraged to attend the site visit to have a full physical view of the equipment and understanding of the requirement necessary to submit a proper proposal. Failure to attend the site visit will not be cause to extend the due date of the solicitation.
