Description
THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION ONLY. NAVAIR 1.3.3.9 Program Manager for the Navy's Landing Signal Officer Display System (LSODS) is seeking sources and information for a graphic Circuit Card Assembly (CCA) to replace obsolete graphic CCAs in the systems' Data Display Control Processor (DDCP). Application Overview: The LSODS provides an integrated set of displays, controls, and processing equipment for use by the Landing Signaling Officers (LSO) aboard Naval aircraft carriers. The LSODS provides the LSO with video imagery, radar data, and other landing-critical information aiding the safe and expeditious recovery of aircraft aboard ship. Subject Item of Interest: The obsolete graphic CCA is a crucial component of the DDCP, which is an LSODS integrated equipment rack comprised of the main processor, graphics processors, and input/output interfaces to other ship systems. Two graphics CCAs are required per system. The graphics CCA is comprised of two boards: A PICMG 2.16 compliant 6U CompactPCI single board computer and a PMC graphics module. A new graphics module is required to ensure continued high resolution imagery for the LSO Workstation graphic displays. The obsolete graphics module that needs replacing is a Sentiris 4110 CV01 PMC. There are two Sentiris 4110 CV PMCs that are currently on each graphic CCA. A total of four modules are used in the system. This RFI is specifically for the PMC Graphics Module to replace the obsolete Sentiris Graphics Module. GENERIC REQUIREMENTS. Graphics Module - PMC form factor; 250 MHz GPU; 64 MB DDR SDRAM; OpenGL 1.3 driver; VxWorks Tornado 2 ver 5.5.1 compliant; PCI rev 2.1 compliant; front panel DVI connector; front panel SMC screw thread connector (MIL-C-39012) input composite video capable; analog video capture capable. Required Response Information: Responders are requested to provide: 1. A brief description of the graphics module and its capabilities; 2. Actual size, weight and power consumption; 3. Maturity and expected life; 4. Availability (i.e., off the shelf, requires development, in production) 5. Description of modifications (if any) to an existing graphics module product to meet the requirements. Written inputs are requested by 7 January 2013 to NAVAIR 1.3.3.9, NAWCADLKE, Hwy 547, Bldg 562, Lakehurst, NJ 08733. Responses may also be submitted electronically. This synopsis is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, nor will the Government pay for the information solicited. Technical questions and responses should be addressed to either Frederick Glasser, 732-323-7791, e-mail Frederick.Glasser@navy.mil; or Michael Rosso, 732-323-2246, e-mail Michael.Rosso@navy.mil.
