- The Department of the Navy, Military Sealift Command (MSC) - Norfolk, is seeking potential sources to provide eight (8) Charge Air Coolers for the USNS DIEHL (T-AO 193) and the USNS HUMPHREYS (T-AO 188). The appropriate NAICS Code is 333618: Other Engine Equipment Manufacturing. This is for MARKET RESEARCH PURPOSES ONLY and does not necessarily constitute an emerging requirement. THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. This is not a solicitation or request for quotation and no contract nor purchase order will be awarded from this notice. There is no solicitation available at this time. MSC - Norfolk is seeking eligible businesses that have the capabilities to provide replacement Charge Air Coolers. The make, model, and serial number from the existing unit are provided below: Charge Air Coolers MFG. GEA - Type - 129/31/6+12/2-ESV/S99-20N192 ALL.OP.EXC PRESS - 40/45 TEST OVER PRESS - 10,5 CONTENTS - 100 MFG. YOUNG - Part# 304045 SN's: 2247094, 2247096 712617384 DELIVERY LOCATIONS: San Diego, CA for the USNS DIEHL and Norfolk, VA for the USNS HUMPHREYS Again, THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE OR PROPOSAL. This is a market research tool used to determine the availability and adequacy of potential business sources prior to determining the method of acquisition and issuance of an award. The Government is not obligated to and will not pay for any information received from potential sources as a result of this synopsis. It is requested that interested businesses submit a brief capabilities package demonstrating ability to provide Charge Air Coolers. Submission of a capabilities package is not a prerequisite to any potential future offerings, but participation will assist the Government in tailoring the requirement to be consistent with industry. This document shall address, as a minimum, the following: (a) Company profile to include number of employees, office location(s), DUNS number, CAGE Code, business size/socioeconomic program status (if applicable); (b) Point of contact, telephone number, fax number, address, and email address (if available); and (c) Make, model, and serial number of the charge air coolers. Vendors shall be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM). The agency intends to issue a request for quotation for the abovementioned parts during the December 2012 time frame. The solicitation shall provide additional information such as delivery requirements. RESPONSES ARE DUE no later than Friday, December 14, 2012 by 10:00 AM Norfolk, VA Local Time.
