- Description
- The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIRSYSCOM) intends to issue a delivery order under Basic Ordering Agreement N00019-08-G-0010 to Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation, 6900 Main Street, P.O. Box 9729, Stratford, CT 06615-9129, on an other than full and open competition basis for the effort associated with the non-recurring engineering analysis and logistics support for the conversion of an MH-60S to a UH-60N training aircraft. A sole source acquisition will be procured under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1, 'Only One Responsible Source and No Other Type of Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements.' As the sole manufacturer of H-60 variant aircraft, Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation is the only known source with the necessary technical data, knowledge, experience, and expertise required to provide the non-recurring engineering for the structural analysis and logistics provisioning and support of the UH-60N aircraft. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Interested parties, however, may identify their interest and capability by responding to this requirement. The Government will consider all capability information received prior to the closing date of this synopsis. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed delivery order, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government.
