Description
This is not a solicitation or request for proposals and no contract will be awarded at this time. The Military Sealift Command Norfolk has a re-occurring requirement for parts and service support for the T-AO and T-AKE ship classes. The services performed or parts delivery will be in CONUS or OCONUS locations to be identified at the task order level under an indefinite delivery type contract. The resultant contract(s) shall provide for an OEM licensee or OEM qualified service and parts rep for the following engines: 1) T-AKE Engines: FM-MAN 8L 48/60 and FM-MAN 9L 48/60. FM-MAN engines are manufactured by Fairbanks Morse Engine of Beloit, WI under a licensing agreement from MAN Diesel & Turbo SE, Augsburg, Germany for the main diesel engines onboard the T-AKE vessels. 2) T-AO Engines: SEMT Pielstick PC4.2V 570. MAN Diesel SAS - SAS - SEMT Pielstick of Nazaire, France is the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) for the main diesel engines onboard the T-AO vessels. Please respond by the closing date of this notice with a description of your organization's capabilities and resources with regards to the task outlined above and required personnel. This should include a general finance approach for major capital purchases or leases required to perform (e.g., a vessel or facility to meet contract requirements). Provide a summary of organization's history relative to the specific tasks required. For each reference, please provide a summary of the work involved and references' point of contact, phone number, and email address. Provide a description of any partners your organization would utilize during the performance of the effort. If any, please provide information for their point of contact and brief summary of the partner's capabilities relative to the specific tasks required. NAICS Code 333618, OTHER ENGINE EQUIPMENT MANUFACTURING, applies which has a size standard of 1,000 employees. Please indicate if your company is a large or small business, and if a small business, indicate if other classifications apply (HUBZone, WOSB, SDVOSB, etc.). If this effort were solicited as a small business set-aside and valued at over $150,000.00, please outline how your organization would adhere to FAR Clause 52.219-14 (Limitations on Subcontracting). Industry respondents are encouraged to present additional comments or questions about the specifics of this requirement.
