- PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE The National Acquisition Center will issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) VA797N-12-R-0058 for the Department of Veterans Affairs for Vacuum Erection Devices (VED's) and Rings/Bands. VA procures approximately 36,118 VED's and 3,751 Rings/Bands annually. The solicitation will be issued as a Full and Open Competitive Procurement. The contract period will be for one base year plus four one-year option periods. A single award is anticipated from this solicitation. If the offeror is not the manufacturer, a signed agreement between the offeror and the manufacturer must be submitted with the offer and remain in effect for the duration of the contract period including the option years. Solicitation No VA797N-12-R-0058 will be electronically issued in commercial item format in accordance with FAR Part 12 on or about December 21, 2012 with a closing date of 30 days from the solicitation issuance date. The NAICS code for this procurement is 339112. Any future amendments and other miscellaneous documents will be available electronically for download at the following URL: http://www.fedbizopps.gov. No paper copies of the solicitation will be available, and no telephone requests for paper copies of the solicitation will be accepted.
