Description
Notification of Bundling Pursuant to DFARS 205.205-70, Notification of Bundling of DoD Contracts, the Air Force hereby provides notification to interested parties of its intent to bundle requirements currently performed under the Eastern Range Technical Services (ERTS) contract, the Western Range Operations, Communications, and Information (WROCI) contract, and the Spacelift Range Systems Contract (SLRSC) into the planned Launch and Test Range System (LTRS) Integrated Support Contract (LISC) for Operations, Maintenance, and Sustainment (LISC OM&S). In bundling these requirements, the Air Force expects to achieve the following benefits: (1) a single contractor accountable for Range operational availability; (2) improved individual Range responsiveness resulting from streamlined processes on each Range; (3) improved enterprise responsiveness resulting from streamlined processes between Ranges; and (4) cost savings resulting from more efficient processes and manpower utilization. The Air Force has determined that the benefits derived from the bundled contract structure are expected to be measurably substantial and are critical to the mission success of the LTRS. The LISC OM&S RFP is expected to be released in the second quarter of Government Fiscal Year 2013.
