Description

INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE The Department of Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office (VISN 9) intends to enter into a sole source procurement with Ottobock for the purchase of Otto Bock 3B5-X2 knee; Otto Bock 3R60PRO Knee; 1C60-R-30-2-P/15N and 1C60-L-30-2-P/15N feet, which are specifically prescribed by a physician as the optimum method of treatment for a specific patient treated under the care of a Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center. NAICS code 339113 applies to this procurement. The proposed contract action is for equipment for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302, 41 USC 253(c) and 38 USC 8123. This notice of Intent is not a request for quotations. Interested persons may identify their interest in this requirement no later than 10:00 AM CST, December 14, 2012 to: Alanna Crawford, Contract Specialist, at alanna.crawford@va.gov. Telephone inquiries will not be accepted. All information shall be furnished at no cost or obligation to the Government. This award will be made using simplified acquisition procedures. No solicitation will be made available. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
