See attachment for Full Detail: NAVSUP WSS, Mechanicsburg, PA is conducting a market survey to determine the interest and capability of Industry to participate in a competitive acquisition for IT (information technology) engineering systems, hardware, software, systems integration/design and software development support services, and, related training, maintenance and spare parts in support of the following IT projects for the activities indicated: Ruggedized Marine Engineering Systems to support Smart Ship, SmartCarrier / Condition and Control Systems and associated Enabling Technology projects, programs, related services, and, spare parts; Contractor Support Services for Ship System Data Integration for the following locations: Naval Surface Warfare Center - Carderock Div / NAVSSES Philadelphia Naval Shipyards NAVSEA Headquarters The planned follow-on contract, also, provides for procurement of various NAVSUP-WSS Mech-managed ruggedized (shipboard) system spare parts. This provision for spare parts is intended to be Direct Vendor Delivery (DVD) logistics support initiative that allows for Just in Time (JIT) delivery to support the various shipboard condition and control system (crew workload reduction) projects. The support strategy allows for ruggedized Shipboard systems spare parts to be ordered by fleet/industrial customers to support their own maintenance of ship systems. The contractor will ship these spare parts (to CONUS sites) on the next business day after receipt of the delivery order.
