Description

PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE Safety Modifications at Parking Garage & 133EF Stair #6 at the Captain James A. Lovell FHCC, North Chicago Illinois. The contractor shall provide all equipment, labor, supervision, management, transportation, supplies and materials to perform construction services related to the installation of safety modifications at the Federal Health Care Center. All work as per design documents. Award is subject to the availability of funds. This construction project is set-aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB's). All prospective contractors must be verified on the Center for Veterans Enterprises (CVE) website, www.vetbiz.gov, to be considered for award. The solicitation, specifications and drawings will be posted on www.fbo.gov.There will be pre-Bid conference and walk-through held for this project. All prospective bidders are encouraged to attend. Details of the pre-bid conference will be included in the solicitation package. The solicitation will be issued on/about December 28, 2012 with the bid opening on/about January 29, 2013. The bidder is responsible to monitor and download any amendments from www.fbo.gov which may be issued to this solicitation. In accordance with Public Law 109-461, the Veterans Benefits, Healthcare and Information Technology Act of 2006. Pursuant to 38 USC 8127(d), competition is restricted to SDVOSB construction firms. The project magnitude range is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) for this procurement is 236220; size standard $33.5 million applies. Time for completion is 120 days after Notice to Proceed.
