Description

The U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM) plans to host a Small Business Matchmaking Collaboration White House Initiative Event. The purpose is to provide insightful information to small business owners on how to successfully do business with the government. It is a unique opportunity to listen, learn and network. The focus is on helping small business owners navigate the changing and challenging government acquisition world. The venue will be a town hall style forum with concurrent matchmaking. WHERE: OPM HQ Federal Building, 1900 E Street, NW, Washington, DC 20415 DATE: Wednesday, January 9, 2013 TIME: Town hall forum: 9:00am to 12:00pm, Eastern Standard Time Matchmaking sessions: 9:00am to 2:00pm, Eastern Standard Time PURPOSE: Provide information to small business owners to successfully do business with the government. COST: Free REGISTRATION: You must register for this event. To register, send an email to Natalie.Burgess@opm.gov with "Registration for January 9, 2013 SB Event" in the subject line. Registration will open at December 12, 2012 at 12:00 Noon. Registrations received prior to the 12:00 noon open time will not be acknowledged. Space is limited to 125 persons. OSDBU requests that only one person from each business attend. You will receive a registration confirmation via email when you are registered. The confirmation email will provide security information and other necessary information. YOU MUST receive a confirming email to attend and we ask that you bring a copy of the confirmation with you on January 9th. Registration requests will not be taken by telephone. Event registration is on a first contact basis until the 125 person limit is obtained. Please provide the following in your registration email request: FULL NAME: TITLE: BUSINESS NAME: BUSINESS ADDRESS: BUSINESS WEBSITE: EMAIL ADDRESS: TELEPHONE NUMBER: NAICS CODE(S): SOCIAL ECONOMIC CLASSIFICATION: i.e., HubZone, WOSB, 8(a), SDVOB etc. BUSINESS DESCRIPTION/SERVICE KEY WORDS: i.e., IT related services, Training, Project management, Office supplies, Office equipment maintenance, etc. (suggestion: attach your capabilities statement, it will be useful, but not required for registration)...... Reminder: Insert "registration for January 9, 2013 SB Event" in the subject line of your registration email. Please ensure that your firm is registered in the System for Award Management (SAM), www.SAM.gov and ensure your SBA Dynamic Small Business Search profile is updated and complete.
